October 22, 2009. Paddy and I were very happy to see Sherry and Lauren visit from Georgia. Sherry put together a comprehensive schedule and our first stop was the caverns in Hummelstown, PA.
The petting zoo was open, so we checked it out.
The caverns tour was 15 minutes away so Lauren enjoyed the playground.
Our initial host explained the general layout of the area and sent us down the stairs to our caverns tour guide.
Our guide was a wealth of knowledge concerning all aspects of the caverns. The walkways were well lit and the guide explained the uniqueness of each area as we went along.
The tour was great and the smiling faces expressed that sentiment.
