April 18, 2009. It was a beautiful day so Scott, Laura, Liam and grampy ventured out to the Harrisburg, PA Capital district.
First stop was lunch downtown and then off to the Strawberry Square for a Cappuccino, then off to the Capital.
No sooner did we arrive at the Capital when we heard a brass band, but they were finishing a practice session and we heard only two numbers.
Liam was anxious to walk around so he did and enjoyed it very much.
After 10 minutes, we heard another brass band so we walked over to enjoy their rehearsal. They were larger than the first band and the music was very entertaining.
Scott suggested a visit to the State Museum, so we passed by some of the Capital buildings and off to the museum.
Our museum visit was brief and it was clear that another extensive visit is in order. The museum had many venues. There was an unbelievable sign that said: GAS 8 gal for a dollar!
Walking back to the car, we passed the Capital building, St Patrick's Cathedral and a New Orleans style restaurant.
It was dinner time and we had excellent food at a local restaurant in Camp Hill. It's such a pleasure being with the family and Liam was soooooo cute.
